Changing Avatar Pictures Really Is Simple If You Follow These Instructions
These instructions are for Microsoft Internet Explorer - If you use Netscape, Mozilla, etc, just use the same concept as in step 1.
First, on THIS web page, scroll down until you find an Avatar picture you like. Right Mouse Click on the words next to the picture and a choice Box Should Open Up. Left Mouse Click on Copy Shortcut. Caution: copy the descriptive words link info NOT the picture.
Second, on the In The Colony web page, click profile to open your Profile. Scroll down the Edit Profile page until you see Select Avatar. Delete whatever is in the http:// box. Now place your cursor over this empty box and Right Click. Then choose Paste. Now Click on the Preview button. If you followed the instructions you will see the avatar picture.
Important: Lastly, go to the bottom of your In The Colony Profile page and click the Update Profile button. If you skip this last step then the changes won't work.

Then Click The UPDATE Profile Button at the Bottom of the Page. If you forget to click the UPDATE PROFILE button then the new picture doesn't happen.
